Jewelry Care
- Keep it dry — Avoid wearing it while exercising, sweating, bathing, or swimming. To help retard tarnish on sterling silver jewelry, regularly polish it using a silver cleaning cloth, then place it inside a cloth bag and seal it.
- Safely store your jewelry — We provide individual cloth bags for customers. Please store your piece inside the cloth bag when you are not wearing it, which will help prevent both tarnishing and scratching from other pieces.
- Keep it away from chemicals — Exposure to chemicals can damage or discolor silver and some gems. Even everyday substances like shower gel, perfume, lotion, or other cosmetics can contain chemicals that will permanently damage your jewelry.
Chemical reaction: When silver is exposed to the air for a long time, it will oxidize and form silver oxide on the surface, which is brown or gray-black. When it encounters sulfur in the air, it also produces black silver sulfide.
Personal physique: Some people's sweat contains more acid and sulfur content. Therefore, different people will have different results when using it. Some people will turn black after wearing it for a few days, while others will become brighter the more they wear it.
- Silver wiping cloth: The silver wiping cloth contains silver powder, which polishes the blackened area.
- Toothpaste cleaning: Apply some toothpaste to the surface of the silver jewelry (do not use toothpaste with abrasive grains), scrub with a soft toothbrush and some warm water, and then dry it with a soft cloth.
- You can use silver wiping milk and silver washing water to clean silver.
